Frequently Asked Questions 



How do I get started? 

1.) Contact me for a 15-minute phone consultation (free of charge) to discuss your questions and concerns regarding your child's speech and language development. 

2.) If deemed necessary, we will then schedule a formal evaluation for your child. The evaluation will serve to provide us with details regarding your child's strengths and areas for growth. The results will serve as a framework for the treatment plan. 

3.) Fill out intake forms that will be emailed to you. Please have them completed prior to the evaluation date. For more information, please click here.

Do you have a physical office location? 

In the Atlanta area, I  provide the convenience of coming to you! I do not have a physical office location at this time. I will travel to your home and provide quality speech/language therapy to your child. Travel restrictions apply. 

Where do you travel to? 

Travel radius is limited to 10 minutes (one-way) from my starting point in Brookhaven, Georgia. Each additional minute will incur a travel fee. 

What are therapy options if I am outside of your travel radius?

Teletherapy sessions are an excellent AND convenient option for those that are outside of my travel radius. There is some great support in the literature for the effectiveness of teletherapy. Refer to my blog post on teletherapy. Please note that not all children are good candidates for this treatment modality. 

Will my health insurance cover an evaluation and/or speech/language therapy?

I am currently out-of-network with all insurance companies. However, a portion or even all of your services may be covered by your insurance if you receive out of network benefits. Please contact your insurance company to see if you are eligible for out-of-network (OON) speech language therapy and/or evaluation reimbursement.

Once I receive full payment for services directly from you, I can provide an invoice with necessary details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier (if applicable). 

What is your COVID/illness protocol at this time?

A mask will be worn upon entering your household. I ask that all adults in the household where a mask during interactions with me. During therapy sessions, I will wear a face shield and/or mask. I thoroughly sanitize materials used between each session and have hand sanitizer readily available. I ask that clients cancel/reschedule an appointment if anyone has been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19, if anyone in the household is experiencing symptoms, or have tested positive.
